The NHL Confirms The Next Battle of Alberta
In my opinion, the Battle of Alberta is one of the most intense rivalries in the NHL, and its history speaks for itself. The rivalry has even extended into the playoffs in 2022, creating a classic series. However, in 2023, the location of the Battle will be changing.
This longstanding rivalry dates back to 1983 when both teams were in the Smythe Division.
This year, both squads will be participating in a Heritage Classic, similar to the early years of the rivalry.
The game will take place at Commonwealth Stadium, which hosted the original outdoor game back in 2003.
What better way to celebrate this anniversary than with an explosive rivalry that will ignite the passion of fans all across Alberta?
Mark your calendars for October 29, 2023, and tune in to Sportsnet and TVA Sports to catch all the action.
