Long before Connor McDavid broke into the NHL in 2015, many NHL pundits had their eyes on him knowing that he was going to be the next phenom. For over 8 years now, his skill set and overall amazing talent have captivated Oiler fans.
His season thus far has seen him play 30 games, score 26 goals, provide 33 assists for 59 points, and be a plus-8. These are numbers we havent seen in many years and as Eric Friesen states he's taking his game to another level.
Naturally McDavid has two excellent linemates in Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman who continue to fuel this amazing run he's having. At the pace he's going he could eclipse Mario Lemieux in 1995-1996 with over 150 points.
It's certainly a treat to watch him score, but what's even scarier is that he has another gear that we haven't seen yet, and he's only 25 years old. The Oilers are at home tomorrow night playing against the St Louis Blues start time 9:00 PM
