This trade almost happened? Seems like it would've been a mistake
Edmonton Oilers have another superstar center named Leon Draisaitl, who has achieved four 100-point seasons, which is truly remarkable.
Back in 2016, Peter Chiarelli was considering a trade that could have turned out to be a mistake, but thankfully it never happened!
There was a possibility that Chiarelli would trade away Leon Draisaitl, Darnell Nurse or Oscar Klefbom, along with the 4th OA pick, to Montreal for P.K. Subban and a 9th OA pick.
In hindsight, considering how both players' careers have turned out, we can be grateful that the trade never happened.
This is not to discount P.K. Subban's success in the league, but after leaving the Montreal Canadiens, he has had limited success and is currently working as a broadcaster for ESPN.
