Two more NHL players on Team Canada taking indefinite leave for investigation
Moments ago, another major break happened as part of the ongoing fallout from a news report this morning that revealed 5 players from the 2018 Team Canada World Juniors Team must surrender themselves to police in London, Ontario. The New Jersey Devils have now announced that forward Micheal McLeod and defenceman Cal Foote will also be taking an indefinite personal leave.
Neither the Devils nor the players have released any explanation for the leave, but the Devils did emphasize that they have no further comments at this time.
However, considering the report that 5 players from the 2018 World Juniors team must surrender, and now five players have left their respective teams indefinitely, it seems to indicate that these players will have a major role in the investigation. The five players now on leave from their teams are Dillon Dube, Carter Hart, Alex Formenton, Michael McLeod, and Cal Foote.
