Vincent Desharnais Receives Death Threats
The Edmonton Oilers had a strong season but were ultimately disappointed in the 2nd round against the Vegas Golden Knights.
During the playoffs, Desharnais played 12 games and expanded his repertoire.
However, disturbing news arose from an earlier season fight with Arber Xhekaj of the Montreal Canadiens. Habs fans accused Desharnais of intentionally injuring Xhekaj during the fight, which he denied.
Despite the disappointment of his first season, Desharnais discussed it on Montreal's 98.5 FM and shared how the accusations caused him mental distress. Habs fans even sent death threats to the rookie defenseman, which was unacceptable.
Desharnais values his spot on the Oilers and would never commit such actions.
It's important for NHL fans everywhere to remember that such behavior is never acceptable.
