All eyes have been on 17 year-old hockey phenom Connor Bedard. The young Canadian forward has been projected to be the 1st overall pick when he's draft eligible this summer.
Bedard has been carrying Team Canada on his back at the World Junior Hockey Championships, breaking records for most points in a game, and tied Eric Lindros for most points ever by a Canadian player at this tournament.
Setting the scene for tonight's game vs Team Slovakia, and all eyes would be on if Bedard could pass Lindros to be the new king of Canada. Well Bedard wouldn't disappoint scoring Canada's first goal to break the Canadian record and give Canada the early lead in this quarter final game.
Bedard also becomes the all-time Canadian leader for most goals by a Canadian with 15.
