are the Edmonton Oilers listening in on Ryan McLeod
The Edmonton Oilers were eliminated from the 2nd round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. To improve their team, they are looking to make some trades before the start of the season.
General Manager Ken Holland is working to find the right deals and there are some players on the Oilers' roster who could be used as trade chips.
One of them is
Ryan McLeod, who recently finished his rookie contract and could be moved for a defenseman.
McLeod has shown promise, scoring 23 points in 57 games, and is expected to continue to improve with more development.
However, the Oilers may have to consider the salary cap in their trades. For example, the current cap hit of Matt Grzelcyk is $3.6 million and the Bruins cannot retain him.
It remains to be seen if the Oilers and other teams can find a suitable trade, but it's important to note that this is just speculation at this time.
