Today's game the Bruins played against the Dallas Stars had an Asterix beside it as it was the day the Bruins organization decided to celebrate Brad Marchand's 1000th game.
He has been a fixture with the Bruins since he was drafted in 2006 and being recognized as one of the most hated players in the league.
That hate seems to have boiled over near the end of the first period when Marchand does what he does best and draws a fight with Stars defenseman Joel Hanley.
Both men were trying to open things up where Marchand managed to gain the upper hand where he landed a hard right hook into Hanley's back which flipped him on his back to the ice which sent the crowd onto their feet with a loud roar and cheering for their captain.
Whether you love him or hate him, he is a constant producer for the Bruins organization and one of the best point getters in their history.
The league's biggest pest has played 1003 games, scored 397 goals with 516 assist with 913 points and as a + 297.
