Connor McDavid in viral video to help out young fan

The Edmonton Oilers have always given back to the community in fantastic ways, and earlier this year, McDavid went viral for one of his efforts.
A viral video from March this year has been surfacing, showing a hose offering a child $1000 cash or an Oilers jersey. The kid wants to pick the jersey, but takes the money to help out his family. Thats when McDavid and the Oilers step in, and take the kid to a game anyway. McDavid has been a fan of these wholesome videos, and was happy to take part in one.
«Zachery does great things,» McDavid said. «Seeing some of his videos, he spreads a lot of kindness and love and I think that's a great thing.»
The child and his mother were gifted the $1000 and were gifted tickets to a game, as well as an opportunity to meet Connor McDavid afterwards for photos and a signature in the locker room. It was a truly special moment for a selfless kid, and a great way to help out regular people in the city of Edmonton.
This Oilers team has grown to have an incredible relationship with the fans, and this is one small example of that. Whenever this core wins the Stanley Cup, the celebration in Edmonton will be unlike any other.
