Plenty of Oilers fans were hoping to see some pictures from Connor McDavid's wedding on Saturday, but there's a few reasons why any haven't been made public.

The McDavids had a rule for guests not to use any phones or take any pictures at the wedding, hoping to have a more private and intimate event. There was still a photographer of course, but the rights to the photos have been sold to a Magazine.

The McDavid's Sold the Coverage of the Wedding to a High-Profile Magazine.

It's likely a move made by McDavid's agent or his more stylish wife Lauren for some extra cash, and it's totally okay. Connor McDavid himself probably was hoping for the most private event possible, a much different sight than Wayne Gretzky's televised wedding in Edmonton in 1988.

Plenty of fans are eager to see some photos of the newly wed couple, which will be released in due time, but many others also don't see the point in paying attention to the superstar's personal life.

It's totally valid for fans to have no interest in McDavid's personal life, and completly okay for him to value his privacy. However it's also understandable that fans would like to see some behind the scenes of their favourite athletes, and when they're of Connor McDavid's status, they become celebrities and hero's to many. Nobody is hyping up someone like Mattias Janmark's wedding!

Whenever the couple makes the photos public, plenty of fans will be thrilled to see it. It's great that the wedding seemingly went off perfectly, now McDavid needs to think about his next long term commitment with the Oilers on his next contract.
