The offseason is officially upon hockey fans now that the draft and free agency has passed, and players are starting their vacations to heal up from the long year.

Connor McDavid shared a new video online of him taking his first offseason vacation at the cottage, showing himself wakeboarding with his fiancee Lauren Kyle. There were reports that McDavid needed surgery at the end of the season, but this video should dispel any doubts of his health.

It would be no surprise that McDavid was dealing with an injury by the end of the playoffs, as most players are by Game 7 of the Cup Final. He looked especially off in the last two games of the playoffs, being held to just one point. McDavid was reported to have an abdominal injury that would potentially require surgery, but seeing him being able to wakeboard shows that he's fully healthy.

It's great to see McDavid fully healthy, and likely avoiding surgery to be available at the onset of training camp next year. McDavid is also getting married in a few weeks to his fiancée, and it's great to hear he'll be healthy for that event as well.

After going all the way to Game 7 of the Cup Final, every hockey fan knows that McDavid will enter next season with a vengeance, and a focus on taking care of unfinished business.
