A great story was announced today regarding former Humboldt Bronco Jacob Wassermann as it was announced he will representing Canada at the 2024 Paralympics.

Every hockey fan remembers the horrific bus accident back in 2018 involving the Broncos which resulted in 16 players and personnel passing away while injuring another 13.

Wasserman was unfortunately paralyzed from navel down following the tragic crash. The former Bronco was a great Jr. A goaltender as he had a promising career ahead of him, Wasserman had a 14-9-5 record in 28 games prior to the accident.

Following his injury, Wasserman decided he would not let it dictate his life as he began rowing, winning multiple events over the past few years including silver in Brazil earlier this month. Since then, he has now qualified for the 2024 Paralympics in rowing.
