It appears there maybe a heavy Oilers connection forming with the Columbus Blue Jackets front office as former Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli maybe heading there.

This story has been tied to the ongoing changes that are speeding up as former Carolina Hurricanes GM and President Don Wadell is all but ready to be introduced as the Blue Jackets new boss later this week.

Other rumours have indicated that current GM of the Oilers Ken Holland may be also heading to Columbus as both he and Waddell worked together in the past with the Detroit Red Wings. Rumors and stories have been swirling around the Oilers and Holland's fufure as his contract will come to an end this season and the Oilers have added Jeff Jackson as their CEO.

Adding Holland and Chiarelli to Waddell's management team certainly would have plenty of experience that would be helpful for the Blue Jackets as the team is rebuilding it's roster and have had several high first round picks. It's worth noting that there is no guarantee this would work well as many organizations have shown that too many bosses may not lead to success.

In the meantime, Holland remains with the Oilers and is more preoccupied with trying to win the Stanley Cup.
