The NHL world was rocked by the sudden and tragic loss of Johnny Gaudreau earlier this week, and among one of the most affected was Katie Gaudreau - the sister of Johnny andMatthew Gaudreau who was supposed to get married the day after the incident.

Now, Katie has opened up with a heartbreaking post to social media. On Instagram, Katie beautifully said that to know these two was to love these two.' According to multiple other sources, Katie's wedding has been postponed indefinitely.

On the night of August 29th, just a day before Katie's wedding, Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau were tragically struck by a drunk driver. The driver, Sean Higgins, is now in police custody and facing up to 20 years in prison for his actions. Tributes have come pouring in from all across the hockey world in total shock and sadness over the loss of the Gaudreau brothers. A GoFundMe for Matthew Gaudreau's wife and unborn son has already amassed $500K, with plenty of donations from players, coaches, and general managers.

Johnny Hockey will always be remembered for his incredible skill and infectious youthful energy while he played - and he served as a great inspiration for many smaller players. Over 8 years in Calgary, 2 years in Columbus, and his beginning at Boston College, Johnny Gaudreau made so many fans.
