McDavid and Draisaitl are now tied for 40 career overtime points each, which puts them third and fourth place in NHL history for overtime points, only behind Crosby and Malkin.
It's interesting to not see any great names from the past on this list, but modern overtime rules have greatly increased the amount of scoring in the final frame - where the Oilers stars shine the brightest.
With Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin on the back end of their careers, it's a sure bet that the Oilers stars will greatly surpass them, and set new record for points in clutch time.
Leon Draisaitl in particular is having a special season this year, being the Oilers top goal scorer and driving a dominant second line on his own - while still pairing with McDavid to decide games.
Draisaitl is playing well enough this season to earn some nods for the Hart Trophy and the Selke Trophy this season. Add with that dominant overtime numbers, and it will only help his case.
It's almost normal that Connor McDavid would put up otherworldly stats at this point, but to see Draisaitl continually delivering on being a game-breaking talent and proving the rest of the NHL wrong is a great sight to see.
