The Edmonton Oilers are taking on the Florida Panthers in a Stanley Cup rematch game tonight, but will have a significantly different lineup than last time out.

The Oilers will be scratching top prospect Matthew Savoie, and inserting Jeff Skinner into the top six after he was questionably scratched last game.

Edmonton Oilers announce lineup for Stanley Cup Final rematch vs Florida Panthers

The Oilers are going back to their most consistent first like from last year with Nugent-Hopkins, McDavid, and Hyman. Their second line is the one fans expected for most of the year but never happened, with Draisaitl, Skinner, and Arvidsson.
On defence, Troy Stecher will come into the lineup in place of defenceman Darnell Nurse, who took a nasty fall against the Tampa Bay Lightning. It's possible that Nurse could still play tonight, but it looks like could have sustained an injury in the last game.
Hopefully after practice, the Oilers will provide an injury status update on Darnell Nurse. Losing another top four defenceman before the playoffs, or in the postseason, would be a major problem for Edmonton.
While Jeff Skinner didn't deserve to be scratched in the Oilers last game, fans aren't thrilled to see him enter the lineup and Savoie come out afterward.
The Oilers top prospect has performed well in 3 games with the team so far, but was already being benched in his second game.
Coach Knoblauch prefers the penalty killing and defensive responsibilities of Mattias Janmark however, so he will stay in the lineup. Even Viktor Arvidsson deserved a scratch more than Savoie.
This Stanley Cup Final rematch game comes at a time where the Oilers are in a clear rut themselves. Hopefully they can take this game, with some old lines, to find their game again and start clicking before the playoffs.

Do you think Knoblauch is reuniting last year's lines on purpose for today's game?
