The City of Edmonton was an absolute scene last night as nearly everyone poured into the street to celebrate a critical Game 6 win, but a few fans also got into some fist fights which have been all too common.

In three videos posted today by YegWave, multiple fights were seen breaking out around Rogers Place following the game.

In the first video fans are driving around honking their horns in celebration while three separate heated fights happen right in the street. The second video shows a man kneeling over another and brutally reigning down punches on a KO'd opponent. The third video may be the worst, as it shows a man kicking another viciously in the head.

Fan fights have been far too common at Oilers playoff watch parties this year, but it's a very small minority of fans looking to cause trouble. Almost the entirety of Edmonton fans last night and through the playoffs have been first class, being incredible hosts and showing their unparalleled passion for hockey. Fans even drove Zambonis through the street and had a lineup to get in that stretched several blocks. Inside the building, Oilers fans blew the roof off the place and clearly shook up the Panthers.

Regardless of the result on Monday in Game 7, last night was an incredible send off from the City of Edmonton to this year's Edmonton Oilers. They've made a valiant effort to come back in this series, but it will only truly be remembered if they actually win the Stanley Cup. For at least last night, the 2024 Oilers were properly celebrated with their last home ice win of the year.
