During the post game of game one in the Stanley Cup final where the Panthers beat the Oilers 3-0, The NHL Network panel broke down the skates secrets of Sergei Bobrovsky and how he sharpens his skates and how his skating works.
It was mentioned by former NHL are Mike Johnson the Bobrovsky sharpens his blade with a high inside edge which allows him to have better power for his skating has some goalies tend to do. Devin Dubnyk was also on the panel, and he went into detail on how Bobrovsky skates and how he even used the same techniques when he played in the NHL.
However, the technique was, Bobrovsky put on a show in front of the home crowd as he stole the game away from the Oilers who had total control of the game for long stretches.
