Early on in tonight's game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse threw what looked like clear knee on knee contact against Sam Bennett.

Nurse approached Bennett in a wide stance trying to lay a hit, but instead his left knee made direct contact with Bennett's knee. It was a knee on knee contact, but seemed incidental and not with intent to injure on Nurse's part. It didn't seem overly forceful, but Sam Bennett was crawling off the ice in pain trying to sell a call.

The referees reviewed the play, and rightfully came to the conclusion of a two minute minor for Nurse. As is seemingly a trend for the Panthers, Bennett returned to play shortly after the referees made their call. Just moments before, he was trying to play up the fact he couldn't put weight on his leg - the showmanship is shameless.

Still, plenty of hockey fans came online to call out the referees call of a two minute minor to be an awful miscarriage of justice.

Thankfully for the Oilers, they were not only able to kill off the penalty against Nurse, but score a shorthanded goal from Mattias Janmark to open the scoring. If the Oilers keep up the play they've brought in the first ten minutes of the game, they'll love to fight another day.
