At the end of this season, the NHL's deal with Adidas as the league's jersey designer and manufacturer will come to an end, and Fanatics will take on the obligation for the next ten years. Many fans and media have called out the Fanatics company for having a product that has a reputation for being consistently poor quality - and now players are even criticizing Fanatics jerseys.

This year, Fanatics is taking over as the manufacturer for MLB jerseys, and players reporting to spring training now are speaking out against the quality of the new Jerseys. Today players from the St. Louis Cardinals were reportedly really not impressed with the Fanatics jerseys, saying they don't fit right, not as much customization, a bad change to the fabric, and looking cheap overall.

So far, the players' complaints about the jerseys have been the same as what fans have been saying for years, the quality is just awful overall. On Blue Jays jerseys, fans have already noticed the lack of three dimensional designs, and even the lettering is falling off.

Fans have been sounding the alarm that the NHL's 10-year deal with Fanatics will be brutal for everyone involved, producing poorly designed and poor quality jerseys and merchandise overall. One would hope that Fanatics would step up their quality for MLB official jerseys, but seeing these complaints from the Cardinals, it's clear that the NHL is in store for some truly awful jerseys beginning next season.
