With the 4 nations faceoff just around the corner, Hockey Canada has chosen their personnel for the upcoming tournament. There are a few new faces on the staff this year, with new GMs being brought in to buff up the squad.
These are both great hiring choices, and new faces on the international scene. Brisebois is a GM who needs no introduction, with his hardware already being obvious. He won two cups with the Lightning as their GM, and led them to a third Stanley Cup appearance. He will be an amazing addition as assistant GM for the team, and should help them get back to international glory this year.
Dubas on the other hand has much less experience as a GM, but is already getting experience on the international scene. He will only be joining the team as director of player personnel, but will be working closely with much more experienced GMs to hopefully get him an ability to learn.
Both of these managers will be joining the team lead by Doug Armstrong, who holds the position of head GM. This team will be together for both the 4 nations faceoff and the 2026 Winter Olympics.
It'll be interesting to see the choices that this management group makes when constructing the rosters and how successful these teams can be. It'll be great for these new additions to get some international experience, as they are most likely to take over the bigger positions.
