Doan set to make NHL debut for Arizona Coyotes

The Coyotes announced this morning that NHL legend Shane Doan's son Josh will be making his NHL debut as he was called up from Tucson.
The #coyotes have recalled Josh Doan from AHL Tucson -- the son of team legend Shane Doan. He's expected to make his NHL debut on Tuesday night. Josh Doan has been having a great first full year in the AHL as he has put up 46 points in 62 games with a -1 +/- rating. His play has been reward with a call up to the NHL and will he will be making his debut Tuesday against the Blue Jackets.
Josh's father, Shane, has a lengthy 21 year career in the NHL which began in Winnipeg and continued in Arizona after the team relocated there in 1996. In 21 seasons, Doan played in 1540 NHL games scoring 402 goals with 570 assists for a total of 970 points. His best season came during the 2007-08 campaign where he had 28 goals and 70 assists for a career high of 78 points in 80 games.
The former Coyotes son went to Arizona State to play college hockey for two years where he was drafted from in the 2021 NHL draft in the 2nd round, 37th overall by the Coyotes.
