Over the summer, the Blackhawks won the draft lottery and selected Connor Bedard first overall. In the same off-season, Chicago traded for Nick Foligno. He came over from the Boston Bruins.
Well, that worked in favor for the Hawks, as Foligno has become more of a father figure for Bedard in the Windy City. Nick invites Connor over for dinner every once in a while, and Connor always plays with Nick's kids whether it's at his house or practice.
Their relationship has transitioned to the ice, as well, as they are both on the first line. The two of them had some funny banter on the bench.
It's nice to see Bedard building a personality and teasing the veterans, especially the ones he deems close.
