The Edmonton Oilers made a roster move to send down Josh Brown to the AHL tonight, indicating that one of three injured Oilers will be able to play tomorrow night's game.

Athletic writer Daniel Nugent-Bowman reported that one of Darnell Nurse, Victor Arvidsson, or Zach Hyman will be available to play tomorrow.

The Oilers have been dealing with the injury bug quite a bit so far this year, and it's struck core players too. Connor McDavid missed time earlier this year, and Evander Kane has missed all season.

Darnell Nurse has been out with injury since he took a vicious head shot from Leafs forward Ryan Reaves.

Fans were immediately concerned that Nurse could've sustained a concussion and an unpredictable long term injury, but thankfully, defenceman Brett Kulak revealed Nurse is just dealing with eye swelling.

Victor Arvidsson's injury has been a curious case. The Oilers forward missed practice and Coach Knoblauch initially described it as a maintenance day, which was proven false as his injury has now extended to 4 games.

Arvidsson hasn't found his offensive rhythm on the Oilers yet with only 2 goals and 5 points, and there have been some concerns in his history that he's an injury prone player. Hopefully he can get back to the lineup fast, and start producing offence.

Zach Hyman's injury has the least amount of information of the three. Hyman left last night's game against the Ottawa Senators in the second intermission, and Knoblauch confirmed the injury post game.

Hyman has had plenty of chances throughout the year so far, but has been mired in a scoring slump of his own with only 3 goals in 20 games.

Other than Josh Brown heading to the AHL, there's potential to see another Oilers roster move when all three injured players return. There's been growing calls to see a veteran forward demoted in favour of a younger player.

We'll see tomorrow if the Oilers have any more corresponding moves before they take on the Minnesota Wild at home.
