Connor McDavid has been a special player and person for most of his life. Even prior to being drafted in 2015, his name was mentioned numerous times, including during intermissions of hockey night in Canada.

Ron McLean and the panel would always discuss this up-and-coming young kid who could become the next face of the NHL.

His talent has dazzled the hockey world for the last nine seasons with the Oilers, and it's been a real treat for fans to watch him. He's had several trophies added to his repertoire including five Art Ross, four Ted Lindsay awards.

Now he gets to add another which is the Canada's Walk of Fame of 2023.

With the Oilers having a few days off this week, McDavid gets to take in the festivities for this award and look back at a tumultuous November in which the team may have turned a corner.

The 26-year-old superstar has played twenty games this season, with eight goals and 21 assists for 29 points and a rating of -4.

The Oilers next game will be at home against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday December 6th and the game time will be at 9:30 PM eastern.
