It was a good night for Edmonton Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch. After watching his team beat the Anaheim Ducks 8-2 on Sunday night, the rookie head coach faced reporters in the Rogers Place media room. Little did he know, his 13-year-old daughter, Emry, would ask him a question.

«How fun has it been to coach Connor McDavid?» Emry asked her dad. Staying true to his professional nature, Knoblauch gave a clear and precise answer. «It's been a great pleasure coaching Connor,» he replied. «He is a great hockey player, you see that on the ice but also the leadership he provides to the team, it helps the coaches a lot.»

This isn't the first time Knoblauch has been surprised by a family member after an Oilers win. His wife made a special appearance via livestream in the dressing room after his first win on November 13 and he got quite emotional.

It seems that just over three weeks into the job, he has found a way to relocate his family to Alberta's capital city, providing valuable support in his new role.
