Jack Campbell calls out the Edmonton Oilers after AHL win
The Bakersfield Condors have had a positive news story recently as they beat Henderson Silver Knights with the help of Jack Campbell.
In doing so, Jack Campbell defeated Henderson, the AHL affiliate of his foes, the Vegas Golden Knights.
Campbell and Raphael Lavoie, among others, showed up and blanked the HSK 2-0 for all 60 minutes. Unlike his former home, the Edmonton Oilers, as he may have been hinting at during the interview, who even Connor McDavid admitted to hanging them out to dry.
«We hung both guys out to dry tonight,» said McDavid, who took the «we have to learn from this route,» rather than stamping his feet and gnashing his teeth.
Probably what Jack Campbell was alluding to when mentioning the Condors' solid effort and playing 60 minutes.
Yikes. It sounds like Jack is kind of hinting at the Oilers for not doing whatever it takes to win and not being a positive atmosphere. If this is true, kudos to Jack for calling out the Oilers
In addition to stopping all 30 shots, Soup also ended up being the first star of the night.
Would this little verbal jab toward Edmonton result in the Oilers turning around as well, as he starts what could be the turnaround of his game?
As it stands now, even his teammates in the past had even said in October, that they had hung Campbell out to dry.
