Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers come back from the All Star Break with an opportunity to make history and tie the all-time record of 17 consecutive wins. With a tough task ahead of them in the defending cup champion Golden Knights, Coach Knoblauch is clearly looking to spark the team once again and lead them to the historic win with some line changes at yesterday's practice. The major change is going back to the old top two lines.

For tonight's game against Vegas, Knoblauch has once again separated Connor and Leon after re-uniting them briefly before the break. The consistent top line of Nugent-Hopkins with McDavid and Hyman has returned, and Evander Kane is back getting a look with Draisaitl on the second line. Once again, veteran Sam Gagner comes out of the lineup on the fourth line in favour of Mattias Janmark and Connor Brown.

In goal tonight for the Oilers will be Stuart Skinner, which is no surprise. However, Knoblauch may have an interesting decision to make tomorrow when the Oilers take on the Ducks. If they win tonight, the Oilers could overtake the official win streak tomorrow night, but will be expecting Calvin Pickard to start. In this situation, gunning for the streak, it may be possible that Skinner could start again if the team wants the streak badly.

Tonight will be an incredible watch for all Oilers fans, and hockey fans, to see a team go for such an incredible streak of 17 straight wins.
