In the ninth year of Connor McDavid's career, everyone knows the Oilers are becoming overdue for their Stanley Cup. Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy is really betting big on just that.
Earlier today on social media, Portnoy shared his betslip for the NHL Playoffs. He must be real sure of his pick, because he's put down $150,000 on the Edmonton Oilers to win it all this year.
Whether you're a fan of their product or not, it's always crazy to see someone place a bet of that magnitude - on our favourite team no less. Good news for Oilers fans, Portnoy does have a decent record recently for his picks, there's definitely far worse bettors to be backed by.
Currently, sportsbooks have the Edmonton Oilers tied as the fourth most likely team to win the cup this year, valued at +800. With the team led by Connor McDavid hungry to finally win it all, there's definitely some value to it.
