Current Oilers podcaster tells great story about Jaromir Jagr
Current Oilers podcaster and former player Jason Strudwick shares a great Jaromir Jagr story with the Spittin Chiclets podcast.
Strudwick explained during his time with the New York Rangers that Jagr asked him to take his then girlfriend out with Strudwick along with his wife to several dance bars and show her a good time. He went further to say that the entire nights bill was footed by Jagr which gave all the guys a laugh.
Strudwick even kept a little money for himself as he joked that he was the escort for Jagr's girlfriend.
With the explosion of podcasting and all these former NHLer disclosing these stories to the public has given the league a closeness to its fan base that it's never seen before. Strudwick was an Edmonton Oiler in his final years as an NHL player. He was with the team from 2008 through 2011 while playing on their defense corps.
Now well into his retirement, Strudwick has hosted his own radio show from 2012 to 2015 and now is a co-host for the Jason Gregor show with TSN.
