Moments ago, the Edmonton Oilers began unveiling the numbers for the new offseason additions.

Jeff Skinner - #53
Viktor Arvidsson - #33
Matt Savoie - #22
Josh Brown - #44
Connor Carrick - #58
Colin Delia - #60
Roby Jarventie - #61

Plenty of fans will be excited to get official confirmation of these numbers to get jerseys for the new Oilers. Especially for the goal-scorer and NHL fan favourite Jeff Skinner, these jerseys could be soon flying off the shelf. Some fans may even want to get one for the Oilers new top prospect and hometown kid Matthew Savoie.

Interestingly, now that the Oilers have two players named Skinner and two players named Brown, all four players involved will have their first initial on the back of the jersey.

It's cool to see what numbers the new Oilers will be wearing, and it also gives us another opportunity to take a look at the lineup next season. The Oilers signed defenceman Josh Brown to a three year contract, clearly believing he can be an NHL player, but the Oilers still have a massive surplus on the back end also including Troy Stecher and Philip Broberg. It seems very clear that the Oilers will trade one of Brett Kulak or Cody Ceci to clear up playing time and salary cap space soon.
