According to Oilers reporter Tony Brar, Zach Hyman will return tonight on the top line with Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman.
Zach Hyman sustained an injury against the Oilers last game against the Ottawa Senators, and missed a total of 5 games with an undisclosed injury.
Kasperi Kapanen has been bumped off the top line to the second line with Leon Draisaitl and Vasili Podkolzin. Jeff Skinner is staying up on the third line instead of the fourth, and otherwise the bottom six remains the same. Travis Dermott remains the healthy scratch on defence.
Calvin Pickard will get his 10th start of the season in 25 games, continuing to earn a larger share of games this year compared to last. Pickard has been the Oilers better goaltender statistically this year with an .895 save percentage, and he'll get an easier assignment against a rebuilding Columbus team.
Still, Victor Arvidsson remains out of the lineup and not skating with the team at practice. Concerns are seriously growing that Arvidsson's injury may be a larger setback than expected.
Before tonight's game as well, the Edmonton Oilers will hold a ceremony celebrating Connor McDavid's 1000th career point. It should be a great experience for all fans in attendance, and hopefully fires up the Oilers for a big game.
The Oilers will be looking to bounce back offensively after being shut out by the Vegas Golden Knights last game, and hopefully with a bossy from Zach Hyman, they'll be able to pick up that secondary scoring.
