Oilers Flasher Fan Girl Reveals What Her Parents Thought of Her Viral Video
An Edmonton Oilers fan went viral far beyond the sport of hockey last summer when she flashed a section of Rogers Place on video.
The video spread like wildfire, and the girl in the video, Kait Flynn, became an internet sensation. She signed a deal with Playboy magazine, appeared on numerous podcasts and shows, and has gathered over 100k social media followers herself.
In a recent interview, Flynn detailed just how much the game changed her life and one of the most awkward parts about it - telling her parents to watch out for her viral video.
Flynn said that she called her mother to see if she could "debrief dad that my t*** are on the internet. There [were] people I made phone calls to before they got to see my t***."
Flynn explained that during the Dallas series, the crowd in Rogers Place was absolutely electric as the reason she was compelled to flash the section. She never imagined that the next day it would've made national news in the United Stats.
"I've flashed a million times, if we're being honest," she told Bristowe. "It's just something I do... I didn't think twice about it."
Recalling her mother's reaction, Flynn told Kaitlyn Bristowe: "Mom said, 'They're just t***. We'll deal with it. They'll go away. It can't be that bad.' And then it was like in the New York Post the next day... It was actually in the printed copy of the New York Post."
The atmosphere in Edmonton for those weeks of the playoffs were total pandemonium, the only kind of environment that could've produced a sensation like Flynn. Even the Oilers players were aware of the flasher girl, with Evander Kane even specifically complimenting her Sam Gagner jersey.
Later in the interview, Flynn said that at this point, it hasn't changed her life too much. She just earned some extra money for a truck with the Playboy shoot, and is back to working her day job.
