With Micheal Andlauer becoming majority owner, he has decided on the permanent roles of several executives.
It's reported that Dave Poulin, TSN Analyst and former NHL executive with the Toronto Maple Leafs has been named the Senior VP of hockey operations.
Poulin, had a storied career that stretched from 1982 through 1995. The undrafted forward played the bulk of his career with the Flyers and had stops in Boston and Washington. After he hung up his skates, he worked with the Maple Leafs as an executive. He then went to TSN and has been an analyst.
Andlauer also appointed Steve Staios to full time GM and President of hockey operations and added Ryan Bowness as Associate general manager.
These changes and with the return of Jacques Martin as interim head coach and Daniel Alfredsson as assistant coach has given the team a completely different look.
With the strong young core the team has built, This will give them a running head start to build a new contender.
