Like most NHL fans, Toronto fans have long memories and never let people forget. That was loud and clear when the Toronto Maple Leafs faced off against the Pittsburgh Penguins last night.
Former Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas came back to Toronto for his first time after his weird, ridiculous departure from his former team.
As the Leafs were destroying the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-0, the crowd at Scotiabank Arena continued to chant Dubas repeatedly as the fans continued to enjoy watching this drubbing.
It's been well documented that Dubas was attempting to take Brendan Shanahan's job prior to signing a new contract extension with the Leafs.
During one of the most bizarre press conferences in recent memory, Dubas pleaded with the crowd that he wasn't sure if he could do the job anymore because it was affecting his family.
He also told the press that he would not appear elsewhere if he chose to leave the Leafs and take some time for himself.
He was fired then signed a seven-year contract with the Penguins a few weeks later.
