Matthew Rempe has been taking the NHL by storm in the last week since he made his debut with the New York Rangers. The 6'7, 240 pound rookie forward has just 5 games played, and now in every single one, he's fought on nearly his first shift of the game. Tonight, Rempe took on Mathieu Olivier of the Blue Jackets, and he got his lunch fed to him by the much smaller forward.

Despite having a 6 inch advantage, Olivier was more than able to hang in the fight with Rempe, he actually got the best of him. Rempe was still able to land a few solid blows, but Olivier was feeding him with constant right hooks and some well timed uppercuts which sent Rempe down to the ice.

It was an incredible fight to see - the NHL's newest rising villain get taken down a peg by getting filled in by a much smaller opponent. Rempe will learn from this and get better on his fight technique, and expect him to be back, even on the first shift of next game. In just 5 games played, the 21 year old Rempe has 32 penalty minutes so far. Clearly, he's on a mission to be an absolute menace to the league.
