Moments ago in tonight's game between the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils, Rangers rookie forward Matt Rempe continued his reign of terror on the league. In almost every game he's played so far, Rempe's made headlines for a massive physical play - tonight, he was ejected for a brutal elbow to the head, and he'll likely face a suspension as well.

Devils defenceman Jonas Siegenthaler just crossed the center ice line to dump the puck into the zone when Rempe lined him up and moved in for the brutal hit. Rempe raises his elbow and onky makes contact with Siegenthaler's head, sending him down to the ice violently. Siegenthaler was down momentarily before being helped off the ice while his teammates around him entered a scrum. On his way out, Rempe actually waved goodbye to the crowd.

Several times through the game, Rempe was challenged to fight by Devils defenceman Kurtis MacDermid, but Rempe surprisingly declined. With this ejection and likely a suspension incoming as well, Rempe will now have over 45 minutes in penalties in just his 10 game career. The 21 year old, 6'7 rookie is quite literally fighting to make his impact in the NHL, and it's definitely working - he's become a household name.
