BREAKING: Edmonton Oiler Forced to Retire Due to Health Issues
Former Edmonton Oilers prospect Bogdan Yakimov, 28, has been forced to retire from professional hockey due to injury-related issues.
Selected in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Yakimov played parts of two seasons with the Oilers organization.
He primarily spent his time in the AHL with the Oklahoma City Barons and Bakersfield Condors, with one NHL appearance.
Former Oiler prospect Bogdan Yakimov has retired at the age of 28.
After playing in the KHL, Yakimov last competed for Dynamo Moscow in the 2021-22 season before an injury led to his retirement.
