This decision comes just 12 days after the team signed him.
Galchenyuk's troubles escalated with his recent arrest and subsequent charges by the Scottsdale Police Department. The 29-year-old had signed a one-year contract with the league minimum salary.
The charges he faces include hit and run, disorderly conduct, failure to obey, resisting arrest, and threatening or intimidating.

The Coyotes were reportedly unaware of the off-ice situation involving Galchenyuk. Throughout his career, Galchenyuk has struggled to find stability, being traded multiple times and signing multiple contracts as a free agent.
