Fans were given a chance to re-draft the Edmonton Oilers lineup
On Twitter, Jfresh conducted a fascinating fan vote that involved a re-draft for several teams. The Edmonton Oilers were part of this draft, where fans selected players from 2003 to 2019. The results were astounding.
As expected, fans chose Connor McDavid as the number one pick in 2015. In 2010, they went with Mark Stone and in 2011, Nikita Kucherov.

We ran fan vote re-drafts for 2003 to 2019.
Some of the rosters that came out of it are pretty nuts.
These picks may seem like cheating, but in hindsight, who wouldn't make the same choices? The team's top line is already stacked with talent.
Other notable offensive players include Brayden Point, Bo Horvat, and Wayne Simmonds. For defense, fans selected Charlie McAvoy and Ryan McDonagh, although I personally think Jonas Brodin would have been the next best pick.
Lastly, fans chose Andre Vasilevskiy as the team's starting goaltender with Connor Ingram as the backup.
If you check the rest of the list, you can see lots of great players from different time periods scattered, but if the Edmonton Oilers drafted like the fans, would they have a cup already?
