As an NHL fan writer, it's my job to report changes to NHL teams, whether it's trades, signings, or retirements. I also offer some opinions on what I believe will happen with certain teams.
Whenever a major announcement is made by a player, it's always important to show the brighter side of life.
This kind of news arrived today when Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse announced to the world that he and his wife Makayla welcomed their second child into the world.
The Nurse family welcomed their son Chase Richard Joseph Nurse. Adding to the joy, Chase was born just before his mother's birthday. A new mom bringing a child into the world near her birthday has to be one of the greatest gifts.
Nurse himself will be busy as he prepares to begin another NHL season, with the training camp just around the corner.
We want to wish the Nurse family all the best in this new chapter of their lives.
