Is Logan Thompson On The Way out of Vegas?
After six years in the NHL, the Vegas Golden Knights won their first Stanley Cup, just one year shy of the Philadelphia Flyers' record of seven.
In addition to excellent depth offense, the team had solid goaltending in the net, split between Adin Hill and Logan Thompson during the season.
When the team won the Stanley Cup, Logan Thompson was one of the key players. In 37 games this season, he posted a 21-13-3 record, a 2.65 GAA, and a .915 save percentage.
In light of how well he performed, one would expect him to rotate starts with Adin Hill.
It has been reported, however, that Thompson wants to leave Vegas, as NHL Insider Eklund has suggested the Buffalo Sabres are interested.
Thompson would push the Sabres further into playoff contention, but they aren't the only team interested in him. The Devils and Hurricanes are also rumored to be interested.
As a result of his stellar performance last season, the Alberta-born goalie should be able to choose where to land.
