The Edmonton Oilers have taken forward Klim Kostin out of the lineup for their March 11th game against the Toronto Maple Leafs and also their March 4th game against the Winnipeg Jets, both games resulted in losses. Instead of Kostin being in the lineup, 28-year old Devin Shore has been slotted in, who has one goal in 38 games this season compared to Kostin's 10. This drew some controversy over social media with fans showing their frustration due to Klim Kostin being benched, despite being healthy.
As of this morning, Jay Woodcroft ran some new lines in practice and the bottom 6 is reconstructed:
Line 3: Kostin- Bjugstad- Janmark
Line 4: McLeod- Shore- Janmark
This means one of two things; Warren Foegele will be the odd man out of the lineup, or a top-line forward such as (Kane/Yamamoto) are injured.
