The Edmonton Oilers didn't have to swing for the fences to shore up their new forward lines. The new forward group continued the trend of usual high-scoring games, putting up 5.
With Edmonton being known primarily as an offensive juggernaut, Ken Holland added center Nick Bjugstad and the results have paid off already.
Bjugstad scored his first goal as an Oiler last night, coincidentally doing what the team needs him to be, willing to get dirty in front of the net and get that point. Bjugstad's goal was a result of him being in position and benefitting from Evan Bouchard's ability to keep pressure on the Winnipeg Jet's net.
It's kind of a standard answer to that question, but Bjugstad has already made an impact by taking over for Devin Shore, and canned answers aside, the Oilers' bottom six didn't need an entire remodel to stay productive just one more addition.
