Klim Kostin, the growing fan favorite who has made a name for himself amongst his Oilers teammates gave himself another reason for them to give full respect and have a little fun.
During the Jan 19th Oilers Lightning game, tempers began to soar at the beginning of the second period In which Kostin decided to take on Patrick Maroon in a tilt.
Both Kostin and Maroon traded their blows, and both skated away to the penalty box feeling pretty good about the tilt. Darnell Nurse and Evander Kane were both in the penalty box and gave their salute to their teammate.
Once Kostin sat down collecting his breath with a smile, Kane of course in his usual ways, found what appears to be a bottle of Biosteel water and poured it over the head of Kostin as a baptismal so to speak to the world of fighting in the NHL.
It always makes watching NHL games even more entertaining when you see things like that happen. The Oilers ended up winning that game 5-3.
