The NHL trade deadline will soon be here-by March 3rd, I mean soon! Teams are trimming their rosters and choosing who will stay with them for the rest of the season as trade offers cannot be made after March 3.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportnet, two players have been placed on waivers as of today, January 22. Both Toronto Maple Leafs' Dryden Hunt and Colorado Avalanche's Anton Blidh have been let go by their teams, and they are now both available until tomorrow at 2 PM.
This season, Hunt has been placed on and taken off waivers many times without being claimed. Prior to the Avalanche, he played for the Leafs, Rangers, and Avalanche.
Despite being a dependable option for the Avalanche throughout their injury slump, Blidh managed to go pointless in the thirteen games he appeared in.
