The Edmonton Oilers are nearly done using their navy uniforms, however, as this appears to be their last season wearing them.

The navy alternates will also be worn for one last season. (Not the reverse retros)

Tom Gazzola, NHL Insider, reports that reverse retros will not be affected. This past season, Gazzola was the insider who revealed who would advertise on the team's helmets: government-run gambling operation PlayAlberta.

In the 2021-2022 playoffs, the navy blue jerseys were worn exclusively during home games, before the team lost to the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference Finals.

Despite their uniqueness, the uniforms have run their course as fans are unhappy that they will not be around for another season.

Awful. I was so happy when it sounded like they were done with those

Ugh, was hoping we'd seen the last of the navy alternates.

The Oilers are yet to reveal their uniforms for this season's Heritage Classic game, where they will again compete in the Battle of Alberta on October 29th.

Adidas will oversee one more uniform tweak before Fanatics takes over uniform duties in 2024-2025. What Adidas can come up with during their tenure will be interesting to see.
