Questionable Death Hits The Hockey World
The hockey community is saddened by the tragic passing of 21-year-old Georgi Savin, a promising Russian player whose life was cut short in Ryazan, a suburb of Moscow.
Savin, who had played 13 games in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), was honing his skills with HC Vityaz. His untimely death comes shortly after the loss of former KHL player Dmitry Tarasov, raising questions and speculation in the media, including the possibility of Russian mafia involvement.
While the circumstances surrounding these deaths remain uncertain, it is undeniable that Savin's potential was extinguished too soon. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult period.
