In last night's game between the Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators, the young star Tim Stutzle was once again being called out for embellishment. For multiple years now, Stutzle has been called out from many players, coaches, and fans for having a propensity to go down easy.

Last night, Red Wings coach Derek Lalonde wanted to make it abundantly clear to the referees, and everyone watching, that Stutzle obviously dived to draw a penalty - and Lalonde was right.

Wings' forward Christian Fischer really does a skate-by stick check on Stutzle, and actually doesn't make contact with Stutzle at all. Still, Stutzle flops to the ice making it look like Fischer may have impeded him, and draws the penalty for tripping.

Coach Lalonde emphatically is acting out a dive behind the bench and pleading the obvious case to the referees to no avail. Stutzle has been penalized several times himself for embellishment, but it's still nearly out of control. Someone honestly needs to get a handle on the kid in Ottawa, and straighten out this obvious diving issue.
