Stuart Skinner's First playoff game interview: a changed man?
Stuart Skinner showed a lot of promise last season, despite his short usage in the NHL, only playing in 13 games.
Since then Jay Woodcroft and the Edmonton Oilers promoted the now All-Star goalie. Beating Grant Fuhr's rookie season record in wins recently and now he has notched another accomplishment on his belt.
Stuart Skinner played in his first NHL playoff game last night as he dueled against veteran Joonas Korpisalo, who isn't a stranger to competitive games.
Stuart held his own to the very end, at the Oilers, unfortunately, lost the game in overtime. He wasn't happy with the ending despite it being fun and said it was a good learning experience for himself. Skinner was humble enough to know that he has to grow from here and recalls his experience in the AHL to be successful from here.
Skinner made 31 saves, If the Oilers and Skinner are to win the series, they need to bounce back and give some backup on the blue line.
